Controller Education: BA in Accounting Related Experience: I have worked in the industry for many years with several different companies. One past job that has helped me is my time spent working at All Ways Freight Lines. Here at KAT Nurseries, we have several trucks that deliver much of our product to customers and job sites. Much of this is over state lines. Although a lot has changed as far as documentation needed by the transportation industry, I still fall back on the basics I once used. One of the most enjoyable aspects of my job is listening to our team discuss different topics such as; certain species and the appropriate planting locations, how deep to plant the root ball of different varieties, the threat of pests & diseases. They start throwing out ideas, kicking them around and before you know it, it seems like they could solve anything. Fascinating! Shortly after I started working for KAT Nurseries, I purchased some Aspens. My family and I have enjoyed them immensely. Listening to the leaves whisper in the evenings makes me feel like we are camping in the Rockies, (one of our family’s favorite vacation spots). Working at KAT Nurseries has introduced me to a lot of great people including our seasonal workers. I have learned a lot about them and their families and have actually improved my Spanish with their help! Gracias amigos!! |
